Each winter, the Redding Garden of Lights transforms Turtle Bay Exploration Park and the iconic Sundial Bridge into a glowing, immersive wonderland along the Sacramento River in Redding, California, generously presented by Mercy Medical Center Redding.
Over two million lights illuminate the McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, creating a colorful and dynamic display. Visitors can walk through light tunnels, beneath lit-up trees, and alongside glowing garden beds while taking in the natural surroundings. The Sundial Bridge, brightly lit in vibrant colors, provides a stunning centerpiece to the experience and a perfect backdrop for holiday memories.
Holiday Market & New Interactive Features
New for 2026, step into the festive spirit at Turtle Bay’s European-style Christkindl Market. Browse charming holiday gifts and handmade crafts, enjoy seasonal food and drinks, and soak up the warmth and magic of a traditional holiday market centered around a stunning 32-foot LED tree. Guests can also bring the gardens to life with a light-up “Magic Wand”, available for purchase, that activates interactive light displays at 12 locations.
